![]() Having seen this plastic, though? Man, I have no faith whatsoever that the other pieces won't crumble and crack over time. If I knew that the fixes would be permanent, and that nothing else would suddenly break, I could maybe give a half-way recommendation for someone who was willing to put in the time to fix it. I won't lie, there was a certain satisfaction to fiddling with it and fixing things - but that's mostly just the general pleasure of working with your hands, and of fixing things that are broken. I am absolutely convinced that in ~6 months, this orange Constructor will break down enough that I will just have to put it directly in the garbage - and honestly, I won't even feel bad at that point. ![]() You know how a hard-boiled egg's yolk crumbles? Yeah, that's what this thing is made of. a month or two ago, and it was heartbreak after heartbreak. I am absolutely convinced that in ~6 months, this orange Constructor will break down enough that I will just have to put it directly in the garbage - and honestly, I won't even feel bad at that would highly recommend avoiding it. I think the only way to fix it at this point is to add a metal plate on top of it to connect the two pieces together, but. It's actually a load-bearing panel, and I'm pretty sure that if I tried to transform to bot mode, the arms would just completely break. I did the same procedure as above.Ħ) Having seen the posts in here, I decided not to wait until the waist on Scrapper broke, and proactively replaced the shorter screws with longer ones.ħ) As I was putting Long Haul into vehicle mode for combined mode, the panel on one of his arms broke completely, just totally snapped. yeah, two of the three posts were crumbled. I did the same thing, glued the posts back as much as possible and added longer screws.ĥ) When I was transforming Hook into vehicle mode to put the combiner together, I heard a *crack* in one of the lower legs, and a gap appeared. found that the posts hold that together were crumbled as well. I decided to take it apart to add a little bit of lubricant, and. I glued the pieces back as much as I could (one of the posts was crumbled too much), and reattached it with screws that were twice as long (and therefore went deeper into the posts, past the crumbled sections).Ĥ) The ab crunch joint was incredibly hard to move. I took it apart and found that 4 of the 6 posts were completely crumbled on the end, the plastic was in several pieces, and the screws had nothing to hold on to. ![]() There are 6 screws that hold it together, and they go into these long plastic posts. Fortunately, they provide you with 2 replacement links, so I was able to replace the broken one and add in another one to account for the one that was missing - but now I'm out of extra links, and I still have that slightly-bent one.ģ) The crotch and butt plates on the combiner waist-and-thighs piece had a huge gap between them. Another link was a little stretched it held OK, but definitely not in original conditional. ![]() This put a lot of stress and tension on the remaining pieces, and stretched the plastic on one of them so much that it basically didn't hold and fell apart whenever you manipulated the figure. I was careful and gentle around it, and it's been OK so far, but if it breaks, then I don't know how to fix it.Ģ) One of Scavenger's treads was too short by one link. It's a hinge that gets used in the transformation, and I don't think it would hold if I just applied some glue. Here are some of the breaks on mine:ġ) One of Bonecrusher's toe hinges was cracked right out of the box. ![]() ![]()
